To finish up our first workstation/server review, we will cover some key points about the Supermicro X8SIL-F SOHO server. Quality and reliability are essential in a business type environment no matter how large or small. Supermicro has built a reputation on high quality, efficient products that perform admirably under any work condition.

In conjunction with Climate Savers Computing Initiative(CSCI), Supermicro has become a leader in environmental friendly, energy efficient computing.
Additionally, the customizable options available from Supermicro are nearly unmatched by any other company. Through cooperation with technology partners, quality of components used and energy efficient hardware, Supermicro is a leader in the server manufacturing market.

The introduction of Intel’s Ibex Peak chipset and Lynnfield Xeon processors in combination with Supermicro’s superior quality have created an affordable and easily manageable SOHO server. We can visualize this type of unit being used in a remote management scenario, as a small file server or as a traditional workstation.
