It is faster than its predecessor | Your friends cannot afford one

Very costly for the amount of performance it brings

nVidia has been around since the early 90’s. It was only until October of 1999 that the first GeForce 256 was released.  Recently nVidia made some waves with their RTX line, and you either loved it or hated it.  We went from 500-700 dollar graphics cards back to 1200 dollar graphics cards almost overnight. The RTX line up allowed for more complex ray-tracing, which traditionally hasn’t really been able to be done in real time.  That has changed, and the conception of the RTX was announced.  Now the price point of the RTX cards is far higher than its predecessor.  Luckily we’ve got a GeForce GTX 1080Ti Founders Edition to test against the GeForce RTX 2080Ti Founders Edition.  Currently, there are no games out that will use technology included only on the RTX line.  So is it worth purchasing a 2080Ti now, or does it make sense to wait?  Let’s find out together.

As a owner of a 1080ti with a 1440p monitor, I think I can safely skip this generation of cards, then.
