Introduction

In our two most recent gaming mice reviews, we covered some very top quality pieces of hardware. Razer and Cooler Master have built and manufactured products that really cater to a gamer’s needs. With each company using state-of-the-art technology in their mice, how does one top that? Well, today we may have just that answer.

Mad Catz provides five lines of products geared toward different types of customers. The Mad Catz name markets accessories for videogame system and PC users who enjoy casual gaming. Saitek provides simulation hardware, while Cyborg produces gaming grade peripherals. Eclipse is geared toward the home and office while TRITTON produces gaming audio products. As you can see, Mad Catz has a lot of experience in bringing accessories for gamers, both casual and hardcore, to the market. With that experience comes high expectations for their gear, and most importantly, for the R.A.T. 7 that we are reviewing today.

The Mad Catz Cyborg R.A.T. 7 is quite the looker in terms of style. But some question if it’s more gimicky than functional. Our R.A.T. 7 review is going to dig deep to determine whether or not this mouse is a gimick or it is every bit as functional as it is cool to look at.
