eVGA GeForce 8800 Ultra

Overall Score

All right, my GeForce 8800 Ultra has arrived! It arrived from Newegg nicely packed (as most orders are from Newegg) in a generously sized box filled with plenty of foam peanuts.

Taking it out of the shipping box, we can see the packaging from eVGA.

What’s in the box?
First we find the typical assortment of cables including a pair of Molex hard drive plug to 6-pin PCIe power adapters, two DVI to VGA adapters, an S-Video cable, and a component video cable as well. Also in the box is a folder containing a generic instruction manual, a driver CD, and the mandatory case stickers.

These case stickers are pretty cheesy, I doubt I would install these even if I were the type to adorn my case with advertisements for my components’ manufacturers.

Also in the box, and of considerably more importance than the afforementioned items, is the GeForce 8800 Ultra card itself, packed in a sturdy plastic housing that protects it during shipping.
