Dell has always been well known for supplying budget computer peripherals. Their server lineup has always been a bit different. Personally, I have had dealing with some of their PowerEdge line servers. For the most part the PowerEdge type servers are pretty well built, I liked how things had a place (almost…) Modular, I’ve always liked that idea. With that being said, let’s jump into what we’ve got here.
System Specifications:
12 Blades each with following config:
- 1 AMD Athlon II 610
- 4 x 2GB of PC3-10600
- 4 Seagate Constellation 500GB Drives (Enterprise Level)
- 2 Intel Corporation 82576 Gigabit Network Connection
There are 2 1400w power supplies that run on 200-240v single phase power ONLY. This will NOT run on 120v power. There is a centralized management port that we will go over later on, which comes with full IPMI/Power support on a per node basis. Let’s jump into this thing and unbox it.
