Installation

Before installing the Aquagate in your case, make sure that it can actually mount up with the holes on the rear. Since I am installing mine in a Silverstone TJ09, there is plenty of space to work with, but owners of smaller cases might need to make some adjustments.

Installation is simple. Removing your motherboard is a must as with all heatsink installations. If your board comes with backer plates, these have to be removed as it will not be compatible with the included hardware.

The first step is to insert four long screws through the underside of the motherboard and tighten them down with nuts.

When the CPU is in place, the water block is placed on top. The block is held in place by then putting the mounting bracket over the long screws and using the supplied nuts to fasten it down tight.

One mounting bracket is supplied and its application is for both AMD and Intel boards. The manual gives some basic diagrams for each step but I’ll have to admit, it took a bit of read and rereading to quite get the picture. The diagrams are a bit on the small side. But the installation is straight forward and simple.
