Applogic 3.0 Backbone Fabric Controller

9.5 Overall Score

We will now go back over to the Backbone Fabric Controller to see if the servers have been added correctly.

From this images I can see we have 3 Offline servers. Also see we have no Grids on this BFC yet. So lets do some exploring.

3 servers I have here are in here, you can see all your vital information, State, Server, etc etc. This is a pretty handy screen so you know what is where. Lets Check out the version tab.

Version tab will show you every version of Applogic you have on here. So you can maintain multiple Applogic versions from a single BFC. This one was downloaded today. I simply click the + button, and the BFC downloaded it for me. Not bad!

So now that everything here is looking good. Lets create our first Applogic Grid! I use to have to do this with a big long huge command that looked like this.

./aldo new grid=GRID grid_id=106/6 controller_ip=xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx servers=xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx, xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx, xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx, xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx, xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx, xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx, xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx, xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx, xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx, xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx ext_gateway=xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx account_id=license account_key=/root/license.pri ips=xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx-xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/yyy.yyy.yyy.yyy:zzz.zzz.zzz.zzz

To Not have to do stuff like this maybe a nice addition to the whole grid community.

Thanks for the detailed step by step review. Did you notice that your article is missing parts of phrases in places, such as on the last page, second-to-last paragraph? The missing parts always seem to be at places where you’re delivering a punchline!

      Hey Eric!

This is a beta. I only wrote this to really explain how the BFC functioned, and what we can be looking forward to. Being a beta product I wouldn’t feel really good telling someone that this is a great product. I can only tell them what we see so far. So far is looks as its going to be a great product, but there are things here and there that I think need to get addressed before it becomes a great product. Ideas are good. But being a beta… it’s…. beta..

      Thanks,

I’m just wondering what the new features are for V3? Apparently it’s supposed to have a lot more new things, but I haven’t see a list.
