Cooler Mater’s Storm line of gaming garb has brought us innovative gear with products like the HAF X, the Sentinel Advanced gaming mouse and the V10 CPU cooler. In an effort to offer high to low end hardware, CM has introduced the Spawn, a lower end gaming mouse. The Spawn can be found online from $30-$50, depending on where you look, but retail is $49.99. In prepping for a review of this mouse, we like to get a hands on experience for at least a week or two. We received the Spawn a couple weeks ago and have been gaming with it ever since. This type of interaction with the hardware we get allows us to offer a more real-life experience point-of-view. Although this helps to write a better article, we cannot be absolute when recommending a piece of gear like a gaming mouse. No matter how objective we are in our testing and presentation, a mouse, like a PC case design, is highly subjective.
With that being said, we can offer more concrete evidence on the technology used in building the Spawn. It’s price point relative to other mice in the same category and software suite are two other aspects we can say with confidence if they are competitive or not. The points listed will be thoroughly covered in this review. Our goal is to provide an indepth look at the CM Storm Spawn so that you can make an educated decision on whether this mouse is for you or not.
