Introduction

Cooler Master is known for CPU cooling and great cases at affordable prices.  The original CM 690 was both affordable and relatively easy to use as a computer case.  In the time that it has been around, the original 690 has earned almost legendary status as 'the' mid tower case in terms of cost and performance (for both cooling performance and installation of hardware).  The CM 690 II and 690 II Advance cases have a huge reputation to match and build upon.  The question is:  Can it be done?

This review focuses on that very question.  When you are restricted to a certain price point, improving an already great product can be difficult.  We at Xtreme CPU, think that Cooler Master may have succeeded in surpassing our expectations in terms of style, performance and affordability.  Read on to see exactly what we thought of our journey with this new and improved mid tower, mid-range gaming case.
