Microsoft Releases Obvious Workaround for WMP11 Issue
Quote:
Microsoft gives Windows the three finger salute, says hit CTRL+ALT+DEL
Users of the Microsoft Windows operating systems know that Windows has more than its share of issues. If you are a user of Windows Media Player 11 and have noticed that your tunes don’t stop playing when you close Media Player 11, Microsoft has released a work around that is quite entertaining.

Anyone else encounter this issue? I sure haven't
*waits for WMP11 to freeze*

With players like Winamp around, who would use WMP?
Edit: I do use WMP from time to time, but only on my laptop.

I sometimes use WMP for watching videos, I detest Winamp's attempt at a video player although Winamp is the clear choice for listening to audio. Of course Media Player Classic is the best solution for videos.

What do you use now? Finding a good media player for windows has often lead me back to WMP despite never being horribly happy with it.
